Jiggy brought much-needed expertise to a challenging problem with our pharma collaborator. He's been creative, insightful, and results-oriented throughout our multi-year engagement. But what really makes Jiggy stand apart is his ability to think and act like the owner of the project you put him on. He energizes everyone who partners with him by being a proactive, independent thinker that makes your success his key objective. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Jiggy brings a unique combination of deep scientific expertise, data science knowledge (including rarified state-of-the-art skills in Causal Inference and Bayesian network analysis), and business acumen that aligned perfectly with our needs. He also has skills pertaining to data exploration and visualization to interpret the results of the computational frameworks he built for our Company. Taken together he was an unparalleled match for the complex problems we needed to tackle in the development of our Target deconvolution and drug mechanism of action (MoA) technology platform.
Besides independently working on multiple projects, he consistently provided guidance, support, and mentorship to my junior team members across a wide range of computational biology and bioinformatics activities, helping us meet critical project timelines.
Throughout the consulting engagement, he acted as an integral member of the Empress team rather than an external consultant. He took real ownership of the work, cared deeply about the outcomes, and consistently looked for ways to contribute to the company's success. This level of commitment is especially valuable for a startup operating with a lean and small team.
Jiggy contributed significantly across multiple projects but a stand out contribution was the development of a Bayesian network-based MOA framework and a companion dashboard to allow biologists and chemists to explore the results. Our platform outputs an enormous amount of data that can be daunting to interpret and glean biological insights. Jiggy’s framework has been game changing to accelerate the impact of our platform on drug discovery programs.
Jiggy consistently produces high-quality results in a short amount of time. He works efficiently without compromising quality, delivering strong outputs quickly and reliably. He creates clear proposals for planned work that set clear expectations for feasibility but still allows for flexibility to rapidly pivot to alternative solutions. Throughout the consulting agreement, he was highly engaged, proactive, and thoughtful in his recommendations, often anticipating challenges and opportunities before they became obvious to the rest. Most importantly, he has a remarkable ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
I give Jiggy my strongest recommendation and in fact tried to hire him to lead Computational Discovery team at my company. His greatest strength is solving problems creatively, especially those that require quantitative modeling, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to translate complex data into practical insights. Especially work at intersection of computational biology, AI/LLMs, and data science.
Beyond his technical expertise, one of Jiggy's greatest strengths is his ability to connect ideas, see the bigger picture, and help teams focus on what truly matters. He is also an upbeat and fun person and thus a pleasure to work with.
3T Biosciences first engaged Jignesh Parikh during an important diligence process, where his unique combination of scientific rigor and business acumen became immediately apparent. From the outset, Jignesh demonstrated a clear focus on actionable science—ensuring that innovative concepts could ultimately be translated into meaningful products rather than remaining purely academic or algorithmic exercises.
During our initial engagement, he helped identify critical gaps, risks, and opportunities, providing pragmatic recommendations that strengthened our strategic thinking and execution plans. The value he delivered led us to continue working with him over the years as a trusted consultant and advisor.
What has consistently impressed us is Jignesh's ability to adapt his analyses and recommendations to the rapidly evolving biotechnology landscape. He maintains a strong understanding of where the science is heading, how markets are changing, and what is required to create differentiated and commercially relevant solutions. His guidance is always grounded in both scientific excellence and practical business considerations.
Jignesh combines deep technical expertise with strategic insight, remains exceptionally well-informed on developments across the field, and consistently helps teams focus on what matters most. He is a thoughtful partner, a rigorous thinker, and a highly valued contributor to our ongoing success.
I first worked with Jiggy as a colleague and later brought him in as a consultant at multiple companies throughout my career. What sets him apart is his unique ability to operate at the intersection of science, data, and technology. He combines deep expertise in biology and clinical data with strong digital, AI, and engineering capabilities, allowing him to tackle some of the most complex challenges in life sciences and healthcare. Whether developing data strategies, building analytics and engineering platforms, or supporting rare disease and clinical decision-making initiatives, Jiggy consistently brought clarity, creativity, and practical solutions. He is highly reliable, collaborative, and able to bridge scientific, technical, and business perspectives. I would strongly recommend him to any organization looking to solve complex data, AI, and scientific problems.
We had a complex problem to continue to develop algorithms to understand protein-protein interactions. Jiggy was able to understand our problem area, and apply his knowledge to help accelerate our pipeline through automation on AWS to accelerate our discoveries from days to hours. Jiggy has a unique ability to see a problem, understand it quickly, and apply a robust solution - he can apply this process universally across multiple computational areas.
Jiggy applied his knowledge in our genomics pipelines to help generate processes to curate public data, analyze them, and help us assess our portfolio of novel targets. He has a versatile skillset across pipeline automation, public data analysis, machine learning with robust and proper software skills.
Jiggy is one of the first people I would call to help solve a complex computational problem. He provides high level thinking with top-notch execution.
Jiggy brings a powerful combination of deep analytical understanding and broad technical skills. Key examples were comprehending and running fairly complex statistical methods, recommending modifications to default priors in an existing pipeline based on updated literature, and then shifting to a more practical project of formalizing existing genotype-phenotype pipelines in Docker and creating a Bash test suite. This also highlighted Jiggy’s flexibility across Bash, Python, R, AWS, and the *nix CLI.
Jiggy, in comparison with other consultants, didn't need much domain-specific direction (he's already very well versed in computational biology and bioinformatics), and he went the extra mile in terms of documentation and clean code. He combines a very positive attitude with a willingness to do what we wanted, while also politely pointing out problems with our approach when relevant.
Jiggy can operate at multiple levels of the data science/computational biology/bioinformatics development stack.
